Footprint Crafts For Children

Within this article, we are going to discuss some exciting footprint crafts for children.

Plaster of Paris: There are so many different fun ways that Plaster of Paris can be used. Among all of the different ways that Plaster of Paris can be used is to make some footprints in the snow. All you have to do is simply fill a lid to a box within some item that is negligible with the plaster of Paris.

After it has settled and has dried out a little, all of the students will be able to create all different types of footprints within the snow. They will also be able to use the side of their fist to make footprints that will resemble baby's footprints, or they will be able to draw within the footprints, pictures of birds or other types of animals.

Dough Footprints: This is a really great idea for saving and making your child's footprint impressions so that you are able to use them as a keepsake. All you are going to need is two cups of baking soda, one cup of cornstarch, one and one fourth cup of cold water, and if you would like, some food coloring can be used in order to color the clay. Then all you are going to need to do is stir all of the cornstarch and baking soda together within a saucepan.

Once you have done this, you are going to add some water and cook the mixture over medium heat while you are constantly stirring the mixture until the mixture has reached the consistency of some moist mashed potatoes which is roughly six to ten minutes. In the event that the clay is cooked to long, all of the finished crafts may crack.

Then all you have to do is remove the mixture and place it on a plate, now you can cover it with a damp cloth and once the clay has cooled enough so that you are able to handle it, you are going to pay the clay until it is smooth.
